The Book Girl
This is the story of a young girl named Catherine and her trials and tribulations of becoming King Henry VIII's queen. A historical story of the times during which young girls were mere pawns in life. It is a story of romance and betrayal and tragic endings. When young girl's youth and innocence were at the mercy of a self indulging King who disposed of his brides as easily as he wed and bed them. Catherine was chosen to wed King Henry to try and give him the son he so desperately wanted and we follow her through the trials and tribulations of being his wife, right through to her tragic end because of a betrayal that was not totally her fault.

A well written historical novel filled with romance and intrigue. I found myself reading this in one day because I could not put it down. I was caught up in Catherine's young life, all the betrayal around her, and the life that existed in the time of the Tudor courts. You found yourself dreaming of the romance, outraged by the betrayal, and saddened by the tragedy. A book I would recommend to anyone of any age.
